York charity seeks new befriending volunteers
YORK Blind and Partially Sighted Society (YBPSS) is recruiting volunteers to befriend and support people living with sight loss.
People can join the Volunteer Home Visitors and help out around two hours a week.
Visitors are matched one-to-one with a person who has a visual impairment and, depending on their interests, they can help with gardening, crosswords or chatting over a cup of tea.
