A TRIAL service is expected to have its busiest weekend this Bank Holiday.
Installed in June, the new Visitor and Bus Information Desk was opened at York Railway Station to provide all the information people need for an onward journey or a stay in the city. The service will be reviewed in December.
Customers can buy bus tickets, book accommodation and purchase attraction tickets and York Passes. There are also free guides and maps, and the desk is staffed by one of Visit York’s Visitor Information team from 8am to 4pm Monday to Saturday.
Kate McMullen, of Make It York, said: “With the Bank Holiday Weekend fast approaching we are expecting a very busy time. Our aim is to offer the friendliest welcome to everyone visiting York and this new service, combined with the York Greeters and the team of York experts at our Visitor Centre at Museum Street, will help us to do just that.”
