GOVERNORS in charge of renaming a school have announced their preferred choice.
Canon Lee School, in Rawcliffe Drive, Clifton, could soon be known as The Vale of York Academy if school bosses decide to go ahead with the proposed name change.
The school is currently in the process of becoming an academy and will form part of the Hope Learning Multi-Academy Trust in 2017.
The final decision lies with the governors, however, they have asked the community for its views on the new name by getting in touch with the school. You can email canonlee.school@york.gov.uk
