A BUILDING firm has raised more £20,000 for the Brain Tumour Charity following a major fundraising drive.
Barratt Developments Yorkshire East took part in bake-offs, raffles and tuck shops, and raised £8,000 at their annual golf day.
Fundraising is expected to grow throughout the rest of 2016 after the company named the charity as its charity of the year.
Paul Newman, managing director of Barratt Developments Yorkshire East, said: “We recently lost a colleague to a brain tumour, so it seemed appropriate that we pull together to fundraise in their memory.
“The support from across the business is overwhelming and we are very proud to be able to offer such a significant figure to the charity following such hard work from our team.”
