FIRE crews were called to assist at the scene of a crash in North Yorkshire on Monday.
The crash happened in Bar Lane, Roecliffe, near Harrogate, at about 6.15am, and involved a large goods vehicle.
A spokeswoman for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said a fire crew from Boroughbridge were called to the scene, where the LGV had left the road and crashed into a tree.
The collision also caused a branch to fall onto the top of the vehicle, and was understood to have also affected telephone lines in the area.
A spokeswoman for the Yorkshire Ambulance Service said they were not called to the scene, as the driver did not require medical treatment.
The fire crew removed the tree from the vehicle and made a fallen telephone cable safe.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said the incident involved a white Mercedes box van, and the crash damaged a tree which fell onto a telegraph pole.
He said the man driving the lorry was not injured in the crash, and the scene was clear by 7.25am.
Anyone who saw the crash should phone North Yorkshire Police on 101, and quote reference NYP-25072016-0066.
