A MAN has been arrested for allegedly being involved in the supply of a drug.
The arrest comes after North Yorkshire Police released information last week about increasing calls to help people in the Scarborough area who had overdosed on street Valium laced with Rohypnol.
A police spokesperson said: “As a result of community intelligence, a 33-year-old man from Scarborough has been arrested for being concerned in the supply of a class C drug. Forty tablets of what are believed to be street Valium tablets containing Rohypnol were recovered.”
The man has been released on bail pending forensic examination.
