EMERGENCY services rushed to help a woman who had climbed on the parapet of Ouse Bridge in York early this morning.
Yorkshire Ambulance Service were called at 4.44am to reports of a person on the bridge. An ambulance rapid response vehicle was sent to the scene.
A spokesperson for the ambulance service said: "The police were there, they were dealing with the patient."
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson added: "There was a female on the parapet of the bridge. The female came off the parapet of the bridge and was taken home by a friend."
