A VILLAGE pub on the outskirts of York has been put up for sale.
Ian and Sheila Robinson are looking to retire after 12 years at The Spotted Ox in Tockwith.
It is now being marketed for sale by Leeds property firm Fleurets, with an asking price of £55,000 for the leasehold.
Nick Thomas of Fleurets commented: "The Spotted Ox has been in the hands of the current owners since 2004 and is an established and traditional village public house enjoying a largely local regular trade from the village as well as that from the surrounding area.”
The pub has seating inside for about 80 people, and also a large function room called The Forge, in a converted smithy's premises at the back, a large beer garden, and a private flat on the site .
A Fleurets spokeswoman said: "The Spotted Ox offers the opportunity for buyers to acquire a traditional village pub in an attractive and sought after area."
