A DRIVER was airlifted to hospital after crashing into a stream within a ditch in Bridlington.
A spokesperson for Yorkshire Ambulance Service said there were concerns the man, from Leeds and in his 60's, may have sustained neck and spinal injuries. He was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary by air ambulance.
A Humberside Police spokesperson confirmed the injuries are now being described as minor.
The man was the only person in the Grand Cherokee Jeep and was trapped.
The incident happened at the Eastlands Caravan Park, in Easton Road, at about 9.35am yesterday.
Firefighters had to use hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the rear seats and tailgate of the vehicle.
A rapid response vehicle and a road ambulance also attended the crash.
