DETECTIVES are appealing for the public's help in finding a missing York man who has a "history of violence."
Stephen Kenny Ashes, 34, is wanted for breaching the terms of his prison licence and on suspicion of committing driving and drug offences while on licence.
Ashes, from the Tang Hall area of York, has served time in jail for aggravated burglary.
He is around 5ft 6ins tall and of medium build. He has brown eyes and brown hair, although he sometimes shaves his head.
Acting Detective Sergeant Tom Copeland said: “Stephen Ashes is not an immediate threat to the public but he does have a history of violence and should not be approached.”
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 immediately. You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
