A fitness enthusiast has trekked 400 km across the Scottish Highlands to raise £1,460 for York Mind.

Stevie Clare, 37, travelled from Fort William to Cape Wraith in eight days. Usually the journey along footpaths and remote roads takes 20 days.

She trained for her endurance feat with British Military Fitness, a fitness regime run by soldiers, in Rawcliffe Country Park.

"This is without any doubt the toughest thing I have ever done, but also the very best. An unforgettable experience," she said afterwards.

She chose the charity because it has helped and supported several people close to her.
