A ROYAL Salute was fired by the Army at York's Museum Gardens on Saturday to mark the Queen's official 90th birthday.
The twenty-one gun salute was by the Army Reserve unit, 101 Regiment Royal Artillery, based in Gateshead, while the crowds were entertained by the Band of The Yorkshire Regiment.
The Royal Salute was the last out of three held in a fortnight in the gardens, with the previous ones taking place last Friday, to mark the Duke of Edinburgh's 95th birthday, and on June 2, to mark the 64th year since the Queen’s Coronation.
