A FORMER politician will become the latest high profile figure to be interviewed in front of students and residents when he visits York tomorrow.

George Galloway, who served as an MP for 26 years before losing his Bradford West seat at the 2015 General Election, will be the next guest of York X.

The former Labour and Respect party MP, who infamously appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2006, is the third guest of the University of York society, following similar events with former Guantanamo Bay prisoner Moazzam Begg and Natalie Bennett, leader of the Green Party.

Mr Galloway will discuss a range of topics, including the state of British politics, the EU referendum and the Middle-East.

He will be interviewed by student Akul Pankhania from 7pm before taking questions from the audience.
