A FUNDRAISING fun day has been organised by staff from YorkTest Laboratories in memory of a friend and colleague Damian Heys, who died in February.
The fundraising day is in aid of York Hospital’s Haematology Department where Damo was treated.
His colleagues are celebrating what would have been his tenth anniversary at York Science Park-based company by holding the fun day at Elvington Scout Hut on 5 June.
Faye Howes, a colleague, said: “Damian was a caring, hardworking and hilarious man and truly one-of-a-kind. He is still deeply missed by everyone at YorkTest and to celebrate his memory, we are hosting ‘Damo Day’. Everybody is welcome to share in the fun and games and help us to raise money for York Hospital’s Haematology Department.
“Please join us and bring your friends and family to help raise money for a great cause, in memory of a great man”.
