A PROFESSOR who spent 20 years teaching linguistics in a Mexican university will lead the next Go York lecture.
Chris Hall, Professor of Applied Linguistics, joined York St John in 2007 after living and working in Mexico City at the University of the Americas Puebla to understand how the mental and social realities of language fit together.
His lecture will look at the use of the English Language, and discuss the implications for education, public policy and social justice.
The lecture, which is open to the public, takes place in Fountains Lecture Theatre on York St John University’s campus on Tuesday, May 24 at 6pm.
Tickets are free and available from the university website.
