ELECTRICITY repairs will see roadworks continue on Lendal Bridge overnight.
Northern Powergrid is carry on its essential work on a section of underground cable on the bridge.
Engineers finished a temporary repair to the damaged power cable at the weekend to reconnect customers who were previously on generators after a power cut, but now need to do more work to complete the repairs.
The work is being carried out in partnership with bridge specialist civil engineers from City of York Council. It will be on hold on Friday and Saturday night when the city centre is especially busy.
The company said they cannot give a confirmed completion time but hope to have a full cable replacement done by the middle of next week. Power supplies should not be affected.
