FUNDRAISERS from the Derwent Lions Club have presented some new library trolleys to volunteers at York Hospital.
The new trolleys will be used by volunteers from Friends of York Hospitals to take library books around the wards, giving patients a chance to pick up some reading material to help pass the time as they have treatment and recover from illness.
The Derwent Lions Club is based in the villages around the south and east of York, and fundraises for a variety of good causes including village projects in their area, eye health campaigns, and crisis appeals responding to natural disasters all over the world.
