TADCASTER Grammar School is urging supporters to donate their old instruments to aid a musical misssion.

“It is the aim of the school to be able to teach every Year 7 student to play a musical instrument as from September this year,” said Samantha Buckley, head of the Visual and Performing Arts Faculty.

“Please let us have all your unwanted or unused flutes, clarinets, trumpets and trombones and donate them to our young people.

"We need to collect all instruments this term so that we can get them in full working order before the new intake arrive in September."

Instruments can be brought to the school's reception or sent in with a student marked for the attention of the Music Department.

You can contact the school on 01937 833466 or, if you would prefer someone to collect from you, please email Ms Buckley at s.buckley@tgsch.uk
