A CAR was left lying on its roof after a crash with a tractor on the A64 near York.
The accident happened late this morning on the eastbound carriageway between the Grimston Bar roundabout and the Hopgrove roundabout, to the east of York.
The eastbound carriageway was closed by police at Grimston Bar and long delays built up behind the crash.
North Yorkshire Police said the force received reports of a collision between a Vauxhall Corsa and a tractor at 11.45 am, but did not have any more information at that stage.
A woman, who was in the Corsa, was initially taken to hospital, but later discharged.
The road reopened at 1pm.
