A MAN who died in a city centre hotel has been named as Martin Phillip Hargreaves.
Staff at Hotel Indigo, in Walmgate, discovered the 47-year-old's body in a room on Saturday, March 26.
An inquest at West Offices heard staff entered Mr Hargreaves' room at 4.45pm and found him on the bed.
Police and paramedics were called and Mr Hargreaves, of Fossgate, York, was pronounced dead.
Jonathan Leach, York's senior coroner, said the cause of death was helium asphyxiation and adjourned the inquest until August 24.
