YORK artist Mark Braithwaite's Flood Lights original painting is being raffled for the York Flood Appeal at £2 a ticket.

Rebecca Newman, the People's Soprano from York, will draw the winning ticket at Sunday's Hold Back The River concert at York Barbican, another fund-raising event for the appeal.

Mark's painting will be exhibited all weekend in The Braithwaite Gallery, in Low Petergate, York, where raffle tickets will be on sale. They also are available online at yorkartist.com and on Rebecca Newman's website, rebeccanewman.co.uk

Mark will be at the Barbican with his painting tomorrow evening for the prize draw at the 7pm concert. All proceeds will go to the flood appeal.

Mark painted the picture in response to the Boxing Day floods in York and Rebecca has used the image for the cover of her fundraising CD for the appeal, a version of Simon & Garfunkel's Bridge Over Troubled Water.
