MY WIFE and I cannot thank the NHS enough for the treatment she has just received at York Hospital.
Here is our NHS diary:
December 23, 2015: Endoscopy and colonoscopy, bowel cancer confirmed.
January 4, 2016: Saw consultant Dr Alexander, surgery could be on January 12.
January 6, 2016: CT scan.
January 7, 2016: Ward 27, pre-op assessment.
January 8, 2016: Surgery confirmed for January 19.
January 18, 2016: Fragman injection (anti blood clotting drug), blood sample taken in case a transfusion is required during operation.
January 19, 2016: Surgery 10am.
January 19 to February 1, 2016: Ward 16, every member of staff on the ward deserves a medal for the way they looked after my wife, Pat.
