A PENSIONER has died after a four car crash on the A64.
An elderly local man, 87, was driving a Citroen Berlingo on the road near Rillington at 2.10pm on Sunday when he was involved in a crash with a black Mazda, Mini Cooper and a blue Peugoet 206.
North Yorkshire Police said the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 63-year-old woman suffered minor injuries and was taken to Scarborough District Hospital for treatment.
The other two drivers were uninjured.
North Yorkshire Police warned motorists to avoid the area after shutting the road for five hours on Sunday.
