TALENTED young actors at a York secondary school are preparing to stage a performance of Blood Brothers.
Running from Monday to Wednesday at Joseph Rowntree School, the show will tell the story of twins who are born into poverty in Liverpool and separated at birth.
Valerie Cox, head of drama and theatre, said: "The phenomenal performance talent of our upper school will once again be showcased, but this time with the main focus on the acting.
"Taking a step away from our traditional musical, due to the musical rights for Blood Brothers not being available, the students will have the opportunity to perform some very challenging roles."
Two original songs will showcase the work of the school's musicians and sixth form students are running the lighting, set design and stage management.
