EMERGENCY services have taken a man to hospital after he was spotted in the River Ouse.
Fire fighters, paramedics and the police were all called to the river, near Skeldgergate Bridge, at 2.40pm today.
Two engines from York were sent to the scene, however, the man had already climbed out of the river himself when they arrived.
North Yorkshire Police said he was part of a group visiting York from Manchester.
He was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
