A FAMOUS family quartet have been signed up to play York Racecourse this summer.

Irish pop stars, The Corrs, will headline the track's Music Showcase Weekend on Saturday, July 23, following a day of racing action.

The band are famous for their unique and traditional Celtic music with a pop rock twist that has led to number one singles and more than 30 million album sales.

Andrea Corr, lead vocalist, said: "We love open-air summer shows, so are really looking forward to playing York Racecourse after the races.

"We had a fantastic time touring our new album ‘White Light’ at the start of the year so can’t wait to get back on the road to perform all our hits for a few familiar faces and more this summer."
