FOUR men have been charged in connection with an attack on a 27-year-old man in Sherburn in Elmet.
North Yorkshire Police said all four had been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm on December 27 and were due to appear at Leeds Magistrates' Court today.
A spokeswoman said the men were Lee Cormack, 34, of Sherburn in Elmet, Ross Michael Nicholson, 28, from Micklefield, Leeds, Aaron George Pinkerton, 26, from Sherburn in Elmet and Gareth Stephen Roberts, 29, from Biggin, Leeds.
The injured man, who was found in Duffield Crescent in Sherburn in Elmet in the early hours of December 27 with serious head injuries, remains in Hull Royal Infirmary in a critical condition, said the spokeswoman.
