GRITTERS are set to be deployed by City of York Council in the early hours of Friday as York experiences one of its first significant frosts of the winter.
Temperatures are set to fall to at least minus 1C on Thursday night and rise no higher than 4C on Friday, with a maximum of only 2C forecast by Sunday - although it should at least be a sunny weekend, giving river levels further opportunity to return to normal.
