THE Duke of York will visit his namesake city tomorrow to see for himself the impact of the floods.
His trip, which will also take in Tadcaster, comes the day after a private visit from another royal, The Duchess of Kent.
When the floods hit after Christmas, he sent a message to those affected.
The Duke said: "I am sorry to hear about the severe flooding across Yorkshire and the devastating impact it is having on so many homes and businesses.
"My thoughts are with everyone in Yorkshire that is affected at this time."
