CALLING all Mini-Makers! CBeebies' arts and crafts hero Mister Maker is setting out on his first British theatre tour in 2016, playing the Grand Opera House in York on June 3 and 4.

"I am so excited," says Phil Gallagher, alias Mister Maker. "We’ll be singing, dancing and making some amazing arty creations. I can’t wait to share the fun with all my Mini-Makers, so join me, Circle, Triangle, Square and Rectangle for a real arty adventure and get ready to make some noise.”

Mister Maker & The Shapes Live will be "packed with loads of arty fun, fantastic songs and there’s even a big ‘make’ for everybody to take part in" as Mister Maker is joined on stage by a supporting cast and The Shapes.

Mister Maker has been entertaining CBeebies viewers since 2007 and in 2009 was nominated for a Children’s BAFTA. In 2016, he will present his seventh series, Mister Maker’s Arty Party.

From humble beginnings in a small Maidstone studio and armed with nothing more than coloured card and a tube of gloopy glue, Mister Maker has gone global. In the past 12 months he has performed to a crowd of 20,000 rapturous fans in Indonesia, sold out 16 shows at Sydney Opera House last January and embarked on a second sell-out Australian tour last July, playing to 30,000 fans in a fortnight.

Tickets for June 3's 4pm show and June 4's 10am and 1.30pm shows can be booked on 0844 871 3024 or at atgtickets.com/york
