POLICE have appealed for public assistance after a vehicle filled with stolen property was pulled over.

Officers from North and West Yorkshire Police stopped a vehicle on the outskirts of Leeds at about 5.30pm on Monday, December 28, and recovered a quantity of what they believe are items which may have been stolen from the Harrogate district.

The items include:

  • A Garmin watch
  • Jasper Conran glasses
  • A Phillips electric razor
  • Remote controls
  • A Tissot Silver ladies watch
  • A charm bracelet including a heart engraved with MATHA 6/6/15
  • Flatscreen televisions ranging between 42" and 64"

A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: "It is thought the victims may be away over Christmas, so we are appealing in particular to all residents and communities of the Harrogate District to check with their neighbours, especially those away on holiday at the moment. If a residence is found to be burgled, please contact us and officers will attend and investigate."

Anyone with information, or who wants to report the burglary of a neighbour, should phone 101.

Information on the above items can be emailed to paul.smith@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk or passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111, quoting reference 12150222481.
