PUPILS at Helmsley Primary School have been busy filling jam jars with treats and toys in preparation for their Christmas fair today.
The school held a non-uniform day with children bringing in the jars rather than a donation.
Items in the jars included biscuits, sweets, crayons, pencils, hair bobbles and small toys which will be sold at the festive fair at the school from 6pm- 8pm.
There will also be a variety of craft stalls, games and seasonal refreshments and the pupils will also be selling items they have made.
All money raised will go to school funds.
