A 13-year-old boy has been attacked in York.
The assault happened on the cycle track at Little Hob Moor, between Hob Moor and Tadcaster Road, at 3.30pm on Wednesday.
Police say a man aged around 19 or 20 forcefully grabbed the boy and pulled him off his bicycle and shook him violently.
The victim was left distressed but did not need hospital treatment.
Police want to speak to a white man aged 19 to 20, about 6ft tall, of medium build with short curly ginger hair. He was wearing a black hoody and blue or black trousers and was seen to by riding a blue BMX bike.
