THE first meeting of a "People's Congestion Commission" for York will take place on Tuesday.
The event, organised by the Green party, is to give the people of York chance to talk over solutions to traffic problems in the city.
John Whitelegg, a professor of sustainable development from the University of York, will be at the meeting to give a 30 minute presentation on city traffic congestion.
The event is open to all and invitations have gone out to local businesses, commuters, teachers, tradespeople, councillors and council workers.
The meeting starts at 7.30pm at the Priory Street Centre, and is expected to close by 9.20pm.
