A FASHION dinner at York's National Railway Museum - hosted by Countdown presenter and Strictly Come Dancing favourite Rachel Riley - has raised more than £90,000 for the Prince's Trust.

The money will support the charity’s work in helping disadvantaged young people across Yorkshire and the Humber turn their lives around.

The Thursday evening event, attended by more than 200 guests, featured an exclusive showing from designer label Goat, a luxury cashmere brand favoured by the Duchess of Cambridge.

Guests were treated to a champagne reception on the museum’s Station Hall platform, followed by a runway show and a three-course meal, as well as an auction of ‘money-can’t-buy’ items and a diamond raffle, and they also heard inspirational stories from young people who have been helped by the charity.

Rachel said: “It has been a pleasure to host the Fashion Dinner and hear how The Prince’s Trust really helps young people in the region turn their lives around and gain employment. Some of the stories we heard showed just how important events like these are in supporting the charity."
