NORTON trainer Julie Camacho does not get many chances of saddling a winner at York, but SWAHEEN can oblige for her this afternoon on the penultimate day of Knavesmire action in 2015.

Swaheen lines-up in the featured £50,000 Stan James Handicap and is not without a solid chance on the best of his form.

A runaway Ripon winner earlier in the season, he has not yet been able to add to that success, but he ran creditably when third at Catterick on his penultimate start and may have found the ground a little too lively when unplaced at Musselburgh on his latest start.

The three-year-old is fancied to relish the easier surface he will encounter this afternoon and, although this is a tight handicap, with Agent Gibbs, Pin Up and Who Dares Wins among those boasting some sound recent form, Swaheen can do Camacho proud. Smart apprentice Joe Doyle takes the mount.

Richard Fahey saddles three of the ten runners in the opening TSG Nursery Handicap and preference is for ORMSKIRK, the mount of Paddy Mathers.

A winner over this distance of six furlongs at Catterick last time, Ormskirk now tackles his first handicap. He looks reasonably treated and makes slightly more appeal than his two stablemates Young John, who returns from a three-month break, and the lightly-weighted Hyland Heather.

Fahey has a whole host of useful chances throughout the card, not least with ARCTIC FEELING in the £20,000 Parsonage Hotel And Cloisters Spa Handicap over five furlongs.

Sammy Jo Bell, who has a great rapport with him, takes the mount on Arctic Feeling, who has been running respectably of late and who is a previous winner over this course and distance. The expected easy ground should not bother him and he is napped to come out on top in an admittedly wide-open race.

Fahey can also win the Holmes Catering Equipment Solutions Apprentice Handicap with FULLON CLARETS.

The mount of Natalie Hambling, who has ridden four winners this season, Fullon Clarets was narrowly beaten at Musselburgh last time. This seven furlongs contest may offer him some compensation.

William Haggas saddles the promising CARENOT in the Racing UK Members Free Entry Today Maiden Auction Stakes.

The mount of Graham Gibbons, Carenot was sent off favourite on her debut at Salisbury and ran a creditable race to finish third. She should be wiser this time and looks sure to make a bold bid.

At Newmarket's high-class card, the £500,000 Dubai Fillies' Mile takes pride of place. MINDING, representing Aidan O'Brien and Ryan Moore, a combination to strike fear into their rivals, makes stacks of appeal.

Minding brings top credentials to the table for this Group 1 contest, having won at this level last time out at the Curragh in the Moyglare Stud Stakes. She had previously landed a Group 2 race on the same course and is plainly a very smart performer.

David O'Meara has good prospects of winning the Group 2 Dubai Challenge Stakes with SO BELOVED.

Danny Tudhope's mount has rattled up a couple of notable wins at Goodwood this season, as well as scoring at York, and he finished second in Listed company at Redcar last Saturday in a race which may not have worked out to his liking, given the lack of a strong early gallop. This is a stronger contest, but So Beloved should not be overlooked for O'Meara.

Fellow North Yorkshire trainer Karl Burke also has a useful chance with QUIET REFLECTION in the Dubai Cornwallis Stakes.

The two-year-old won the Group 3 Firth Of Clyde Stakes at Ayr last month in really good style. More will be required to prevail in this stronger event, but the highly-regarded Quiet Reflection may possess what it takes. Graham Lee again has the mount.

Also worth noting at Newmarket are the promising DIPLOMA (2.05) and GOATHLAND (3.45), who will have the services of up-and-coming apprentice Edward Greatrex.
