A LOOSE horse caused the closure of a slip road to the A64 this morning.
The animal was reported by a number of passers-by close to Grimstone Bar at about 7.10am.
North Yorkshire Police were called to the scene, and closed the slip road at 7.50am, then managed to tether the horse at about 7.55am.
The horse was returned to a nearby field at about 8.45am, and the road was fully reopened shortly after.
