Taddy soon levelled the scores only to see Ryan Davidson strike a 35-yard screamer to restore the advantage. But Magnets had the last laugh, securing a point and a 2-2 draw with an equaliser in the last five minutes.

Two of the league’s most successful clubs also suffered Reserve 'A' setbacks with Old Malton St Mary’s going down 3-2 at Church Fenton White Horse and Dunnington being sunk 5-2 by Thorpe United.

Malton and Norton made it three out of three in Reserve 'B' after a 7-1 win at Hamilton Panthers.

Tom Garbutt gave the away side the lead early on but Chris Cartwright soon levelled.

It was largely one-way traffic from then on with Ryan Cooper making it 2-1 at the break before adding two more in the second period to complete his hat-trick. Steve Hoggart (2) and Paul Holder completed the visitors’ tally.

John Richardson and Jamie Perkins helped themselves to doubles as Tockwith defeated Hemingbrough United 4-3.

Jake Whitfield struck two first half goals to give Wilberfoss a 2-1 half-time lead over F1 Racing in their Reserve 'C' battle.

It was F1 who finished the stronger, though, with Jason McCloud (3), Ben Calverley and an own goal giving them a 5-2 win which keeps them at the head of the table.
