DOZENS of teams took part in a charity version of a TV classic in York.
The fourth annual It's A Knockout tournament was held on Knavesmire on Sunday, with 36 teams taking part to raise funds for St Leonard's Hospice.
This year's theme was A Grand Day Out At The Carnival, and all the games had a carnival theme, with teams having to scramble aboard camper vans to grab a bite to eat on the move, and struggling through bustling 'food courts' to retrieve a pint, all the while hampered by foam, water, and inflatable costumes.
Annie Keogh, corporate fundraiser at St Leonard's Hospice, said: "This year’s event has been the biggest yet. It’s amazing how people will do silly things to have fun and to raise funds for the Hospice.
"Our congratulations to the winning team, but with such fantastic support we think they were all winners and indeed another team could still be a winner as we have an additional prize for the team that raises the most in sponsorship. Thank you to everyone, see you all again in 2016."
The Tournament was run by Graham Fisher's International 'It's a Knockout' Organisation, which has organised events around the country for more than 25 years, and teams included local businesses, organisations, community groups and families, and there was also a fun day with inflatables and children's rides throughout the day.
The winning team was York Brewery, who have taken part each year since the competition started, but this was their first shield.
