A PEDESTRIAN suffered back, head and rib injuries when he was knocked off his feet by a reversing car in Stamford Bridge.
Humberside Police said the incident happened when the 74-year-old man went to cross the road outside the Co-op at about 1pm on Thursday.
He stepped out behind cars parked on double yellow lines and a vehicle reversed, said a force spokesman.
"The driver of the black BMW estate car initially stopped, but is said to have left the area without leaving his details," he said.
"He is described as white, in his sixties, with grey receding hair, 5ft 7” tall and of slight build."
