FOR old-fashioned entertainment with enchanting tricks and witty patter, look no further than Morgan and West. The duo deliver a fantastic family-friendly show and they're guaranteed to bring a smile to audience members both young and... less young.

The tricks within the set are not too complicated and rely on the double act's slick timing, both for sleights of hand and jokes. The comic timing is as important as the quick changes and subversions, and the pair have both down to a fine art.

Morgan's cheery demeanour is utterly unflappable in the face of West, whose flippant disregard of children is reminiscent of Roald Dahl characters. Their constant collaboration and frustration at one another does not get old.

Together they tackle the struggles of being a magician, such as having to get through so many waistcoats, to bring together a self-aware and clever show with quick punchlines for the benefit of both children and their parents.

Their audience interaction is handled brilliantly as well, especially sending Morgan as the reassuring force to ask for young volunteers. Even if some punchlines can be predicted, every gag lands well, and the show had me giggling with glee.

I've never seen such a fun magic show as Morgan and West's. The time-travelling double act have everything perfected for a brilliant family show.
