A CANDIDATE hoping to lead the Labour Party over the next five years will be in York today.
Andy Burnham, MP for Leigh since 2001, is speaking at Clements Hall, in Nunthorpe, from 12.30pm.
Mr Burnham hopes to replace Ed Miliband who stood down as leader after Labour's crushing defeat in the General Election.
He will speak about his policies and plans should he defeat his opponents, Jeremy Corbyn, Liz Kendall and Yvette Cooper and win the leadership race.
