SUMMER holidaymakers in York and North Yorkshire will have to endure another cool and wet day tomorrow before drier weather arrives for the second half of the week.
Temperatures are expected to to rise no higher than 14 Centigrade or 57 Fahrenheit, tomorrow, as the region is hit by further spells of heavy, showery rain.
Forecasters say Wednesday will be brighter but there will still be scattered showers, with temperatures inching higher to 16, or 61F .
Thursday and Friday will be drier and sunnier, with temperatures hitting the dizzy heights of 18C, or 64 F, by Friday.
Weathermen fear a return of wetter weather next week, as the jet stream brings Atlantic depressions over the country, but there are some signs that he weather will improve significantly further into August.
