CHILDREN at a York nursery have taken part in a graduation ceremony before moving on to primary school.
The ceremony was held at Little Green Rascals in Tadcaster Road when pre-schoolers donned caps and gowns while their families looked on.
Helen Rook, communications and events coordinator for Little Green Rascals, said: "We had 22 children take part in the graduation for the first children to have left the nursery since we opened here last June.
"We had parents and families invited and a small ceremony in which the parents were shown GoPro footage of their children's time in the nursery.
"That was fantastic and after that the children sang some songs and were then presented with certificates by staff from the nursery. A lot of the families were quite emotional. The nursery is quite a big part of their lives and staff were sad to see them go as well."
