PUPILS at Monk Fryston School have had their hard work acknowledged with a prestigious "Investors In Pupils" award.
The school has been re-accredited with the award for a another three years in recognition of the ways pupils take responsibility and help decided the direction of their learning.
Two independent external assessors went to the school and interviewed pupils, parents and staff, finding the school met rigorous standards in all areas and praising the "lively, creative and enthusiastic pupils” who were “extremely polite, friendly and very well behaved."
The award process has been led in the school by assistant headteacher Mrs Anne Boulton, who retires this month.
Headteacher Rick Weights, added: “We are really proud to have been reaccredited with this award. It is very important to us because it recognises the lengths that we go to in order to develop a high level of responsibility in our pupils.”
