Van recovery causing heavy traffic on A64
UPDATED 9.50am: The road has now fully reopened, but motorists should expect some delays as traffic flows return to normal.

AN ACCIDENT on the A64 is causing heavy delays into the city this morning.
One lane of the eastbound carriageway has been closed between the Grimston Bar interchange on the A1079 and the A1237 York Outer ring road at Hopgrove roundabout.
The Press understands a van left the road this morning, and one lane of the carriageway remains closed now to recover the vehicle. It is not yet clear whether anyone was injured.
Motorists are advised to expect delays, and traffic heading from Bishopthorpe towards Murton is also affected.
