A 76-YEAR-OLD York man has denied threatening to kill his wife but admitted affray.
Keith Coxon, of Manor Drive South, will be sentenced at York Crown Court next month after reports have been compiled into the 'rather unusual' case, in which his wife Margaret was a 'reluctant witness,' the court was told He pleaded not guilty to possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear on February 10, 2015, and to making a threat to kill his wife on the same date, but pleaded guilty to a third charge of affray.
Heather Gilmore, prosecuting, said she was content for the first charge to lie on the file and offered no evidence on the second. The court heard that the gun had been removed by police but no details were given of the offences.
