A SUSPECTED arsonist is believed to have set fire to a caravan parked on the driveway of a house in St John’s Road, Driffield.
The suspect was captured on CCTV running from the scene of the fire, which destroyed the caravan and caused almost £2,000 of damage to the semi-detached house, the neighbouring property, a shed and Cross Hill school’s fence.
Double glazing was cracked and guttering melted at both properties.
Humberside Police said CCTV footage showed a man walking up and down St John’s Road near the time of the incident. Later it captured a person running down the drive, away from the scene, crossing St John’s Road, into Adelphi Street and out of sight.
Anyone with information should call 101, quoting crime reference number 2115821.
