A1 closed overnight
DRIVERS are being warned that there will be an overnight closure of the A1 in North Yorkshire on May 28.
The A1 northbound between Catterick South and Catterick North junctions will be closed from 8pm to 6am as part of ongoing improvement work on the A1 Leeming to Barton scheme.
The work, which will include barrier replacement and white lining, is to improve journey times and increase safety.
Clearly-signed diversion routes will be in place and the existing 50mph speed limit will remain throughout.
Northbound traffic will leave the A1 at Catterick South junction to be diverted via A6136 Leeming Lane and A6136 Gatherley Road to re-join the A1 at Catterick North junction.
