A WATER main has burst in Tadcaster Road in York, causing its partial collapse and closure.
The burst happened near the Holiday Inn hotel. City of York Council called it a "significant burst".
A spokeswoman said: "Diversions will be put in place. More details will be available on this soon - although this is expected to divert all traffic along Moor Lane Bridge.
"We are working closely with Yorkshire Water and emergency services to access the damage. If it is safe to do so, one lane of the carriageway will be reopened later this morning."
